Background: Adam Peichert grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, and was a “lifer” at St. Paul’s School for Boys before attending Wake Forest University. He went on to earn an MFA in Creative Writing, studying at both the University of New Orleans and American University.
In 2008, Adam returned to the independent school world as an advisor to educators and a consultant to leaders at some of the top schools across the South. Over the next dozen years, he worked with thousands of educators, supporting school leaders and leading administrative recruitment and search efforts. During this time, he placed nearly 100 administrators—primarily deans, division directors, and assistant heads of school—in independent schools throughout the region. Adam continues to work with emerging and rising administrators while guiding schools through senior administrative searches. He has presented on leadership and search processes to school leadership and affinity groups, graduate programs, and at regional conferences, including the NAIS Annual Conference.
Since joining RG175 in January 2021, Adam has completed nearly 70 searches for roles including Assistant Head of School, Early Childhood Head, Lower School Head, Middle School Head, Upper School Head, Director of Enrollment Management, Athletic Director, Director of Fine Arts, and other grades K–12 dean and director positions. He has partnered with a wide range of schools, including single-gender and coeducational institutions, boarding and day schools, and both religiously affiliated and non-sectarian communities, serving enrollments from fewer than 200 to more than 2,000 students.
Adam is married to a physician at Johns Hopkins and is the proud father of two boys who attend school in Baltimore City. He is also a volunteer leader with Thread, a Baltimore-based organization that harnesses the power of relationships to build a more connected and equitable community for young people facing significant opportunity and achievement gaps.
